Privacy Policy
Effective 3 October 2026
Who we are
Cardinko is an iPhone app made by an independent developer in Singapore (“we”, “us”). If you have any question about this policy or your information, email cardinko.app@gmail.com. We aim to follow Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What Cardinko stores, and where
Everything you enter is saved only on your iPhone, inside the app:
- the cards you hold (card names only, never card numbers), with statement and due dates you type in;
- purchases you log (amount, date, category, how you paid, and an optional merchant name);
- points and cashback balances, transfers, your miles goal and your monthly spending estimate;
- your settings and app preferences.
We cannot see this information. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
When information leaves your iPhone
- App updates. Cardinko checks for and downloads app updates from Expo, the service the app is built and delivered with. These requests include technical details such as the app version and your phone’s operating system, and may include crash information if an update fails to start. They do not include the cards, purchases or balances you’ve entered. Expo handles this under its privacy policy.
- Feedback you send us. If you tap “Send feedback” or “Report a wrong rate”, your own email app opens with a message to us. If you send it, we receive your email address and what you wrote, plus the app and card-rules versions added to the message. We use this only to reply and to fix or improve the app, and we delete it on request.
- Backups you export. If you export a backup, the file is saved wherever you choose (for example iCloud Drive). That provider’s privacy terms apply to it. We never receive it.
- Beta testing. If you test Cardinko through Apple’s TestFlight, Apple may share with us the feedback, screenshots and crash reports you choose to send, and the name and email you were invited with, under Apple’s TestFlight terms.
Payment reminders are scheduled on your iPhone; nothing about them is sent anywhere.
What we don’t do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
- No analytics about how you use the app.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your information.
- We never ask for card numbers, bank logins or one-time passwords.
Card information
The card rules in Cardinko (rates, caps, minimum spend, fees) come with the app and are checked against each bank’s published terms. Looking at a card in the app tells us nothing; it all happens on your iPhone.
Your choices
- You can change or delete anything you’ve entered at any time in the app.
- Settings › Delete all data removes everything Cardinko has stored on your iPhone. Deleting the app does the same.
- To ask what feedback emails we hold from you, or to have them corrected or deleted, email cardinko.app@gmail.com. We’ll reply within 30 days.
Security
Your information is protected by your iPhone’s own security (your passcode, Face ID and Apple’s data protection). Because we don’t hold your app data, there is no Cardinko server that could be breached. Feedback emails are kept in a password-protected email account with two-factor authentication.
Who Cardinko is for
Cardinko is meant for adults who hold credit cards. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly receive information from children.
Not financial advice
Cardinko gives estimates for comparison only. Your rewards depend on each bank’s terms and how merchants are coded. Always check the bank’s terms. Cardinko does not provide financial advice.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Cardinko handles information (for example, if we add optional accounts or iCloud sync), we’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the app, and explain it in the app’s update notes.
