Common questions

Is my information safe?

Everything you enter stays on your iPhone. There’s no account, no tracking and no advertising, and we never ask for card numbers or bank logins. See the privacy policy.

How do I move my data to a new iPhone?

Go to Settings › Back up now and save the backup file (for example to iCloud Drive). On the new iPhone, install Cardinko, go to Settings › Restore from a backup and pick that file.

Where do the card rates come from?

Every card’s rates, caps and minimum spend are checked against the bank’s latest official terms and conditions. Each card’s Rules & terms page shows when it was checked and links to the bank’s documents.

A rate or cap looks wrong

Please tap Report a wrong rate on that card’s page. It opens an email with the details we need; a screenshot of your statement or the bank’s page helps. We re-check the bank’s official terms before changing anything.

My card isn’t listed

Email us the card’s full name and we’ll add it after checking the bank’s terms.

The app said I’d earn a bonus, but my statement shows less

Banks decide bonuses by the category code the merchant’s bank uses, which isn’t always what you’d expect (for example, some restaurants are coded as fast food). Caps, minimum spend and exclusions also apply. Cardinko’s figures are estimates; your bank’s statement is the final word.

How do I turn reminders on or off?

Go to Settings › Payment reminders in Cardinko. If you don’t get reminders, also check that notifications are allowed for Cardinko in your iPhone’s Settings › Notifications.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Settings › Delete all data, or delete the app. Both remove everything Cardinko stored on your iPhone.

Important

Cardinko gives estimates for comparison only and is not financial advice. Always check the bank’s terms before applying for or using a card.
