The bank's full earning rules
- Local spend in Singapore: UNI$3.5 per S$5 (1.4 mpd), uncapped.
- Overseas spend in foreign currency: UNI$6 per S$5 (2.4 mpd), uncapped.
- Regional currencies (IDR, MYR, THB, VND): UNI$7.5 per S$5 (3 mpd).
- Agoda hotels via UOB's dedicated link (bookings 15 Jan 2025 – 15 Aug 2027): up to UNI$17.5 per S$5 local (7 mpd) or UNI$20 per S$5 overseas (8 mpd).
- Expedia via UOB's dedicated link (bookings 1 Apr 2026 – 31 Mar 2027): hotels, activities and cars UNI$20 per S$5 (8 mpd); flights UNI$7.5 per S$5 (3 mpd).
- UNI$ are calculated on each transaction's amount and rounded down to the nearest UNI$.
- American Express version only (product page): 20,000 loyalty miles with S$80,000 annual spend; 5,000 bonus miles with S$8,000 overseas spend in a quarter.
Where the bonus applies
- All eligible retail spend earns the rates above; there are no bonus categories
Earns nothing on
- NETS transactions, instalments, cash advances and bill payments
- Excluded MCCs include wire transfers (4829), utilities (4900), insurance (5960, 6300), crypto (6051), securities (6211), gambling (7995)…
- Listed merchant descriptors such as AXS, EZ-Link and PayPal

Good to know
Uncapped: 1.4 mpd local, 2.4 mpd in foreign currency. Spend in IDR, MYR, THB or VND earns 3 mpd (Cardinko uses 2.4 for all foreign currency).
UNI$ are calculated per transaction and rounded down, so very small purchases can earn less than the headline rate.
